The 'Bends' on the Severn


Pilots often use the River Severn to navigate by. When they reach this point, they go this way, then this way, then back to this way...…..perhaps its good, initial training for aerobatic manoeuvres!

If you see an aircraft go round in circles, its probably following an ox bow upstream.
